Crossing the bridge

Far from home

The sun, it's setting fast

I feel a breath of sadness pass.

The sky's crying red

And I am tired as death

Looking out across flaming clouds

Hanging like blood

Over deep, rushing water.

Time, it's running out

The long dead glow

Before night falls--

An anguished scream

Knifes through nature.
