In her eighties,

this old frail woman

has survived a stroke,

her body shortened

and she is stooped.

Two rows of pearls glow

over her navy blouse.

While quietly -

her six foot son,

once a baby in her arms,

now a father -

takes her by the hand

and walks to the door

of her home

where I click the camera

capturing a moment

in a photograph,

before the final lunch

of a Mother with her family.
