NAPA EXHIBITION 2002
|
The Mariners Gallery NAPA UK's 2002 Regional Exhibition
was held at: |
| Below is an extract from The International NAPA Newspages: ...Although the NAPA council deliberated at length about the location of St. Ives for a national exhibition it was finally decided that the town's prestige, its unique historic links with the visual arts, warranted the project... ...34 members contributed
57 paintings... Since the St. Ives Society does not curate these temporary exhibitions it was arranged that NAPA member David Hillhouse -former Principal Museums Officer for Wirral and a curator of some 25 years experience - would travel down... AWARDS AT THE ST. IVES EXHIBITION National exhibitions
organised by the National Acrylic Painters' Association normally attract
substantial interest from art oganisations and companies. These awards
are given to members along with those donated by NAPA itself. The St.
Ives exhibition was no exception and 9 prizes were awarded which in
total amounted to several thousand pounds. NAPA
