The Artist :
- Alwyn Crawshaw lives in Hickling,
Norwich, Norfolk, with his wife, June.
- He works in watercolour, oils
and acrylics. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a member
of the Society of Equestrian Artists, the British Watercolour Society,
President of the National Acrylic Painters' Association and Founder
President of the Society of Amateur Artists.
- Alwyn has written twenty-three
books for HarperCollins, including "The Artist At Work"-
his autobiography.
- He has made seven television series
(58 half-hour programmes). All screened by Channel 4, and are shown
world wide including the USA, Canada and Japan.
- Alwyn has also made six very successful
teaching videos on painting and was named in "The Top Ten Best
Teachers on Video in America".
- He has exhibited at The Royal
Society of British Artists in London. He has won the prize for the
best watercolour at the society of Equestrian Artists Annual Exhibition
on five occasions. His last exhibition was a joint one with his wife
June, in Tokyo, September 1998.
- The Telegraph Weekend Magazine
reported him to be "a landscape painter of considerable expertise".
- Alwyn is listed in the current
edition of 'Who's Who in Art' and the Marquis 'Who's Who in the World'.
